Hollywood sits between Fort Lauderdale and Miami, and its beachfront Broadwalk, a long pedestrian promenade lined with cafes, restaurants and small hotels, is its best-known stretch. Downtown around Young Circle has its own restaurants and arts district, and the large resort and casino on the west side runs hotel and dining operations at scale. Winter brings a big seasonal population, including many visitors from Canada, who fill the beach hotels and the churches from December to April.
