Good questions

Every coffee currently on the shelf, roasted to order.

Finding your coffee in one minute

Tell us how you brew. Espresso machine at home: start with Brazil Machado. Drip machine or pour over: Kenya Kiambu. Mostly lattes: ASCENT, our blend built to cut through milk. Skipping caffeine: East Africa Decaf, which cups at 88.6 and doesn't act like a decaf.

If you'd rather browse by what's in the cup, the notes on each card are what our cupping table actually tasted — chocolate-forward coffees read comfortable, fruit-and-floral coffees read adventurous. Either path ends at a bag roasted after you order it.

I'm new here. Which coffee should I buy?

By brewer: espresso — Brazil Machado; drip — Kenya Kiambu; lattes — ASCENT; no caffeine — East Africa Decaf.

When will my coffee ship?

We roast every Wednesday and ship within two business days of the roast, after the beans have had a short rest. Order by Tuesday night to make that week's batch. Nothing sits in a warehouse.

What do the numbers next to some coffees mean?

Cup scores — a 100-point professional grading scale. Above 80 is specialty; our shelf currently runs 86.8 to 93.

Can you grind the coffee for me?

Yes, free, at roast time — pick your brewer from the grind menu on any coffee's page.
