ASCENT is a 50/50 blend of washed Kenya and natural Ethiopia. The Kenya brings structure, citrus acidity and a clean finish; the Ethiopia brings fruit, florals and sweetness. Together they make a cup that is brighter than a classic espresso blend without losing body.
Because we buy at the top of each harvest, the specific lots behind those two halves rotate through the year. The ratio does not, and neither does the character we are building toward. If you want to know exactly what is in the bag you have, the roast date on the label will tell us, and we will tell you.
Well-balanced for every brew method, though we prefer it as espresso. It pairs well with milk and with subtle flavors like vanilla and chocolate.
