Sarasota is the arts town of the Gulf Coast: the Ringling Museum, the opera, the orchestra and a theater season that runs through winter, with a downtown of restaurants, cafes and bakeries to match. St. Armands Circle and the keys, Siesta and Lido and Longboat, hold the resorts, inns and beach restaurants, and a large seasonal population arrives each winter and fills the churches and the dining rooms.
