Augusta has one week the whole world knows about: the Masters in April, when the golf tournament brings a crowd so large that residents rent out their own houses and every hotel, restaurant and coffee counter in the region runs flat out. The other fifty-one weeks run on medicine and the Army. Augusta University and its medical college anchor one of the largest medical districts in the state, with hospitals that never close, and Fort Gordon, home of the Army's cyber training, brings a large workforce of soldiers, contractors and families.
