Who buys wholesale coffee in Panama City Beach
Panama City Beach is twenty-seven miles of hotels and condo towers along Front Beach Road and Thomas Drive, with Pier Park at the center. The buyer is the hotel and the property manager, and both live on a calendar with three peaks: spring break in March, summer from Memorial Day to Labor Day, and a long snowbird season at a fraction of the summer rate. The churches on the north side of the beach serve the year-round residents and are the one steady buyer in town. Most accounts here are a hotel running a breakfast and lobby program, a rental manager stocking units, or a restaurant on the strip.
Running a coffee program in Panama City Beach
Three peaks means three quantities. A property that orders for July all year throws coffee away from October to February; one that orders for January is out by the second week of March. We set a snowbird base, a spring break quantity and a summer quantity and move between them a week at a time. Spring break is a different guest from July, with more coffee at ten than at seven, and in-unit coffee should be a sealed portion because of the salt air. A distributor's case was roasted weeks before it was picked; ours was roasted the week it left.
