Who buys wholesale coffee in Fort Walton Beach

Fort Walton Beach runs on two clocks. Eglin and Hurlburt Field are the largest employers in the county, and the offices, contractors and clinics that serve them fill downtown and the Beal Parkway corridor on a weekday schedule that doesn't care what month it is. Across the Brooks Bridge, the hotels and condos on Okaloosa Island run on the same summer curve as Destin. Downtown along the Miracle Strip holds the cafes and restaurants that serve both. Most accounts here are an office, contractor or clinic, a hotel on Okaloosa Island, or a downtown cafe.

Running a coffee program in Fort Walton Beach

Don't put the two clocks on one order. A base contractor's break room pours the same in February as in July; an island hotel pours three times as much in July. A business that serves both should count them separately, and the Wednesday cadence handles the island's summer step-up a week at a time. Military families rotate every few years, which is a reason to keep the coffee consistent while the faces change. A distributor's case was roasted weeks before it was picked; ours was roasted the week it left.
